Ephesians 3:17b-19 – And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge.
The vastness of Christ’s love for us is what we are “rooted in” and “established” or grounded upon. Another way to understand the magnitude of Christ’s love and power is this: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom 8:38-39).
What cracks your conviction of God’s love for you? What ways wear you down and bring doubt or guilt into your thoughts about God’s powerful work in your life?
“Grasp” the vastness of Christ’s love and the Spirt’s power for you in those areas by spending time praying Ephesians 3:14-21 and declaring Romans 8:38-39 over your life when these moments begin to affect you. And then intentionally love – love God and love others.

Prayer: Our Father in Heaven, we bow our hearts and thank you for the magnitude of love we have in Jesus. I pray we will grasp this love and power today and love the Church, our missional groups, and our campus ministries with this love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
