Romans 5:1-2 NIV – Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.
Encounter with the Holy Spirit fills us with supernatural faith. Whenever we struggle with faith, the Lord faithfully meets us, and that moment of encounter changes everything.
Even Abraham was not the father of the faith until God made him to become it. How many of us are not—in how we think, feel, and approach life what we are called to be? In humility, we are to stop looking within ourselves for that faith. Rather, it is only when the Spirit empowers us that we are given supernatural faith to believe—resulting in us becoming who we are not, to who we are called to become.
This is the promise and faithfulness of God that we see in Abraham, and we will also see in our own lives. Today, what is that impossibility of heart, character, way of being that needs to be transformed in order to become the servant God has called you to be? Today, spend time asking the Lord to fill you with supernatural faith that comes from encountering him.
Prayer: Father, we ask you to fill us with your supernatural faith to believe. May we become who we are not, into who you have called to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
