Day Two: The goodness that connects

Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Perhaps you’ve heard about the supernatural goodness of God, but there are areas of disconnect where all you feel and see is through the lens of pain, darkness, anger and bitterness, and goodness is the last thing that comes to mind when you look at those areas/experiences.

Today, there is hope in God’s supernatural goodness—where there is to be no area in our lives where it is to remain broken, unresolved, in bitterness and anger. Rather, every part of our lives is to speak of God’s great salvation and goodness—for the Lord is good, and in him there is no darkness at all.

Today as you pray, ask the Lord to help you get rid of the disconnect that you’ve lived with. Ask for moments of healing and the experiences of hurt being overtaken by the experience of the gospel.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, we ask for healing and for your supernatural goodness to wash over every area of our lives. We ask that there will no longer be any disconnect in our lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let’s worship with the song “Songs in the Night” by Matt Redman (click here).
