Day Three: A New Song

Let’s read aloud together the following scriptures and prayer:

Psalm 40:1-3 (NIV)
I waited patiently for the LORD;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the LORD
and put their trust in him.

John 4:13-14, 25-26 (NLT)
Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. 14 But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”
The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming—the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus told her, “I AM the Messiah!”

Prayer: “Lord, we thank you for your salvation. You are our rescuer and our healer. You put a new song in our mouths. Overflow in our lives today so that many will see and fear you and put their trust in you. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
